Arakoda (tafenoquine tablets)

Arakoda (tafenoquine) is an antimalarial indicated for the prevention of malaria in patients aged 18 years and older.

The drug is often used to treat Malaria .

This drug may have the following side effects:
  • hives,
  • difficulty breathing,
  • swelling of your face, lips, tongue, or throat,
  • lightheadedness,
  • shortness of breath,
  • confusion,
  • fast heartbeats,
  • tiredness,
  • dizziness,
  • headache,
  • dark colored urine,
  • anxiety,
  • pale or yellowed skin,
  • trouble sleeping
  • strange dreams, and
  • darkening of your mouth, lips, or fingernails,

  • Aralen (chloroquine)
  • Malarone (atovaquone and proguanil hcl)
  • Plaquenil (hydroxychloroquine)
  • Lariam (mefloquine)
