Aptensio XR (methylphenidate hydrochloride extended-release capsules)

Aptensio XR (methylphenidate hydrochloride extended-release) is a central nervous system (CNS) stimulant indicated for the treatment of Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD).
This drug may have the following side effects:
- hives,
- difficulty breathing,
- swelling of your face, lips, tongue, or throat,
- shortness of breath,
- seizure,
- blurred vision,
- fainting,
- agitation,
- confusion, and
- aggression,
- thoughts of self-harm,
- slurred speech,
- unusual wounds on the fingers or toes,
- mood or behavior changes,
- abnormal thoughts,
- unusual sweating,
- weakness on one side of the body,
- vision changes,
- shaking,
- twitching,
- mood swings,
- chest, jaw, and left arm pain,
- sudden vision changes,
- uncontrolled muscle movements,
- sudden outbursts of words or sounds,
- coldness of fingers and toes,
- numbness or pain in the fingers and toes,
- skin color changes in the fingers and toes,
- fast, pounding, or irregular heartbeat,
- slow healing sores,
- ulcers on the tips of fingers or toes,
- painful or prolonged erection lasting 4 or more hours
