Iopidine Eye (apraclonidine)
type of Antiglaucoma, Alpha Agonists
Iopidine 0.5% (apraclonidine) is an alpha-adrenergic agonist, which decreases the amount of fluid in the eye, decreasing pressure in the eye, used to treat or prevent high pressure inside the eye caused by certain types of eye surgery or procedures. Iopidine 0.5% is available in generic form.
This drug may have the following side effects:
- nausea,
- headache,
- dizziness,
- diarrhea,
- sleep problems (insomnia), or
- dry mouth,
- drowsiness,
- stomach pain or upset,
- feeling like something is in your eye,
- eye discomfort/redness/burning/dryness,
- blurred or dimmed vision,
- dry or stuffy nose,
- unusual tiredness.
