Aplisol (tuberculin purified protein derivative)

Aplisol (tuberculin purified protein derivative, diluted [stabilized solution]) is a purified protein fraction used as an aid in the detection of infection with Mycobacterium tuberculosis.
This drug may have the following side effects:
- reactions at the test site (pain, itching, discomfort. blisters, ulceration, or tissue death),
- scarring at the test site (in strong positive test reactions)
- local hypersensitivity reactions (redness, itching, swelling, hives, and rash), and
- systemic allergic reactions (including rash, hives, skin swelling, itching, and anaphylaxis)
