Thymoglobulin [anti-thymocyte globulin (rabbit)] is a purified, pasteurized, gamma immune globulin, indicated for the treatment of renal transplant acute rejection in conjunction with concomitant immunosuppression.

This drug may have the following side effects:
  • nausea
  • rash
  • chills
  •  headache
  • abdominal pain
  • high blood pressure (hypertension)
  • acne
  • sweating
  • muscle pain
  • insomnia
  • shortness of breath
  • low blood pressure (hypotension)
  • low levels of white blood cells (leukopenia)
  • high levels of potassium in the blood (hyperkalemia)
  • general feeling of being unwell (malaise), and
