Anthim (obiltoxaximab intravenous infusion)

Anthim (obiltoxaximab) injection is a monoclonal antibody directed against the protective antigen of Bacillus anthracis indicated in adult and pediatric patients for treatment of inhalational anthrax due to B. anthracis in combination with appropriate antibacterial drugs and, for prophylaxis of inhalational anthrax when alternative therapies are not available or are not appropriate.
This drug may have the following side effects:
- hives,
- difficulty breathing,
- swelling of your face, lips, tongue, or throat,
- fever,
- chills,
- dry mouth,
- headache,
- sore throat,
- body aches or pain,
- runny nose,
- sneezing,
- bone pain,
- ear congestion,
- pain in the arms or legs,
- swollen joints,
- nasal congestion,
- loss of your voice,
- muscle aching or cramping,
- muscle pains or stiffness,
- difficulty moving, and
- pain, bruising or swelling at the injection site
