Antara (fenofibrate)

Antara (fenofibrate) is a lipid-regulating agent called a fibrate used to treat high cholesterol and high triglyceride levels. Antara is available in generic form. Many people using Antara do not have serious side effects.
This drug may have the following side effects:
- loss of appetite,
- fever,
- chills,
- rapid breathing,
- yellowing of the skin or eyes (jaundice),
- chest pain,
- wheezing,
- weakness,
- sore throat,
- mouth sores,
- sudden cough,
- coughing up blood, and
- unusual bruising or bleeding,
- sharp stomach pain spreading to your back or shoulder blade,
- stomach pain just after eating a meal,
- swelling, warmth or redness in an arm or leg
The following drugs are related to Antara, either as a replacement or used together:
- Lipitor (atorvastatin calcium)
- Leqvio (inclisiran injection)
- Roszet (rosuvastatin and ezetimibe tablets)
- Zocor (simvastatin)
