Miradon (anisindione)

Miradon (anisindione) is an anticoagulant used to prevent and treat venous thrombosis and its extension, the treatment of atrial fibrillation with embolization, the treatment of pulmonary embolism, and as an adjunct in the treatment of coronary occlusion. The brand name Miradon is discontinued, but generic versions may be available.

This drug may have the following side effects:
  • hives,
  • difficulty breathing,
  • swelling of your face, lips, tongue, or throat,
  • dizziness,
  • joint pain,
  • any bleeding that will not stop,
  • pain or discomfort,
  • limited range of motion,
  • pain (even occurring at rest),
  • limping, and
  • difficulty reaching overhead
