Angeliq (drospirenone and estradiol)

Angeliq (drospirenone and estradiol) is a combination of female hormones used to treat the symptoms of menopause such as hot flashes or vaginal changes (itching, burning, dryness, urination problems). Angeliq is also used to prevent thinning of the bones (osteoporosis), and also treats the symptoms of premenstrual dysphoric disorder (PMDD).
The drug is often used to treat Osteoporosis .
This drug may have the following side effects:
- hives,
- difficulty breathing,
- swelling of your face, lips, tongue, or throat,
- nausea,
- shortness of breath,
- confusion,
- yellowing of the skin or eyes (jaundice),
- pain spreading to your jaw or shoulder,
- swelling,
- sweating,
- chest pain or pressure,
- increased thirst,
- increased urination,
- rapid weight gain,
- sudden numbness or weakness (especially on one side of the body),
- slurred speech,
- coughing up blood,
- dry mouth, and
- fruity breath odor
- memory problems,
- sudden vision loss,
- unusual vaginal bleeding,
- sudden severe headache,
- stabbing chest pain,
- problems with vision,
- poor balance,
- pain or warmth in one or both legs,
- unusual behavior,
- lump in your breast,
