Anectine (succinylcholine chloride)

Anectine (succinylcholine chloride) is a skeletal muscle relaxant for intravenous (IV) administration indicated as an adjunct to general anesthesia, to facilitate tracheal intubation, and to provide skeletal muscle relaxation during surgery or mechanical ventilation.
This drug may have the following side effects:
- cardiac arrest,
- rash
- fast or slow heart rate,
- increased eye pressure,
- muscle twitching,
- high or low blood pressure,
- abnormal heart rhythms,
- life threatening elevation in body temperature,
- high blood potassium,
- prolonged slow breathing,
- jaw rigidity,
- postoperative muscle pain,
- breakdown of muscle tissue (rhabdomyolysis),
- excessive salivation, and
