Augmentin ES (amoxicillin clavulanate potassium)

Augmentin ES 600 (amoxicillin/clavulanate potassium) is a combination of a penicillin-type antibiotic and a form of clavulanic acid, a beta-lactamase inhibitor, used to treat many different infections caused by bacteria, such as sinusitis, pneumonia, ear infections, bronchitis, urinary tract infections, and infections of the skin. Augmentin ES is available in generic form.

The drug is often used to treat Bronchitis , Pneumonia , Sinusitis .

This drug may have the following side effects:
  • upper stomach pain,
  • loss of appetite,
  • fever,
  • confusion,
  • yellowing of the skin or eyes (jaundice),
  • weakness,
  • sore throat,
  • little or no urination,
  • severe stomach pain,
  • pale or yellowed skin,
  • dark-colored urine,
  • easy bruising or bleeding,
  • swelling in your face or tongue,
  • diarrhea that is watery or bloody,
  • burning in your eyes, and
