Amytal Sodium (amobarbital sodium) For Injection is a sedative used for short-term treatment of insomnia.
This drug may have the following side effects:
- hives,
- difficulty breathing,
- swelling of your face, lips, tongue, or throat,
- itching,
- rash,
- wheezing,
- nervousness,
- anxiety,
- thoughts of self-harm,
- depression,
- red, swollen, blistered, or peeling skin with or without fever,
- tightness in the chest or throat,
- difficulty swallowing or talking,
- unusual hoarseness,
- emotional ups and downs,
- abnormal thinking,
- lack of interest in life,
- slow breathing,
- shallow breathing, and
- redness, burning, pain, swelling, blisters, skin sores or leaking of fluid at the injection site

- Hetlioz (tasimelteon capsules)
- Sojourn (sevoflurane injection)
