Amlobenz (amlodipine besylate and benazepril hydrochloride capsules) is a combination of a dihydropyridine calcium channel blocker (DHP CCB) and an angiotensin converting enzyme (ACE) inhibitor indicated for the treatment of hypertension in patients not adequately controlled on monotherapy with either agent.

This drug may have the following side effects:
  • hives,
  • difficulty breathing,
  • swelling of your face, lips, tongue, or throat,
  • nausea,
  • itching,
  • fever,
  • lightheadedness,
  • chills,
  • body aches,
  • chest pain,
  • flu-like symptoms,
  • unusual tiredness,
  • sore throat,
  • stomach pain (upper right side),
  • severe stomach pain,
  • swelling in your hands or feet,
  • rapid weight gain,
  • new or worsened chest pain,
  • weakness, tingly feeling,
  • irregular heartbeats,
  • loss of movement
  • ,
  • dark urine, and
  • yellowing of the skin or urine (jaundice)
