Paser (aminosalicylic acid)
type of 5-Aminosalicylic Acid Derivatives, Antitubercular Agents
Paser (aminosalicylic acid) is an anti-tuberculosis drug used to treat tuberculosis in combination with other active agents. Paser is most commonly used in patients with Multi-drug Resistant TB (MDR-TB) or when isoniazid and rifampin use is not possible due to a combination of resistance and/or intolerance.
This drug may have the following side effects:
- hives,
- difficulty breathing,
- swelling of your face, lips, tongue, or throat,
- itching,
- dark urine,
- fever,
- itching
- rash, and
- abdominal pain,
- vomit that looks like coffee grounds,
- persistent nausea or vomiting,
- yellowing of the eyes or skin (jaundice),
- severe dizziness,
- black or bloody stools,
- rash followed by a fever,
