Aminosyn-PF 10% (amino acid injection, pediatric formula) is a combination of amino acids used for the nutritional support of infants (including those of low birth weight) and young children requiring TPN via either central or peripheral infusion routes.
This drug may have the following side effects:
- hives,
- difficulty breathing,
- swelling of your face, lips, tongue, or throat,
- nausea,
- loss of appetite,
- vomiting,
- fever,
- pale skin,
- confusion,
- chills,
- stomach pain,
- blurred vision,
- dry mouth,
- weakness,
- restlessness,
- chest pain or pressure,
- unusual tiredness,
- increased urination,
- hoarseness,
- lower back or side pain,
- painful or difficult urination,
- blue lips and fingernails,
- cough with or without pink frothy sputum,
- drowsiness,
- flushed or dry skin,
- fruit-like breath odor,
- increased hunger or thirst,
- muscle cramps,
- irregular heartbeat,
- numbness, or tingling, in your hands or feet,
- rapid, deep breathing,
- seizures,
- loss of consciousness,
- unusual weight gain or loss,
- yellowing of the skin or eyes (jaundice), and
- weakness in the legs
