Amikin (amikacin)

Amikin (amikacin) is an aminoglycoside antibiotic used to treat serious bacterial infections. The brand name Amikin is no longer available in the U.S. Generic versions may still be available.

This drug may have the following side effects:
  • nausea,
  • vomiting,
  • loss of appetite,
  • increased thirst,
  • rash, or
  • injection site reactions (pain, irritation, redness).
