Cyclocort Ointment (amcinonide topical)

Cyclocort (amcinonide) is a high potency topical corticosteroid indicated for the relief of inflammatory and pruritic manifestations of corticosteroid-responsive dermatoses for a maximum duration of 5 days on the face, axillae, scrotum and scalp and a maximum of 3 weeks on the body.

This drug may have the following side effects:
  • hives,
  • difficulty breathing,
  • swelling of your face, lips, tongue, or throat,
  • nausea,
  • diarrhea,
  • tiredness,
  • dry mouth,
  • worsening of your skin condition,
  • redness, warmth, swelling, oozing, or severe irritation of any treated skin,
  • increased thirst,
  • increased urination,
  • fruity breath odor,
  • weight gain (especially in your face or your upper back and torso),
  • slow wound healing,
  • thinning or discolored skin,
  • increased body hair,
  • muscle weakness,
  • headaches,
  • pain behind the eyes,
  • mood changes,
  • menstrual changes, and
  • sexual changes

  • Gyne-Lotrimin (clotrimazole vaginal cream)
  • Cutivate Lotion (fluticasone propionate lotion)
  • Cutivate Ointment (fluticasone propionate ointment)
  • Vaniqa (eflornithine)
  • Noxipak (fluocinolone acetonide topical solution)
  • Lac-Hydrin (lactic acid)
