Cyclocort Ointment (amcinonide topical)
type of Corticosteroids, Topical
Cyclocort (amcinonide) is a high potency topical corticosteroid indicated for the relief of inflammatory and pruritic manifestations of corticosteroid-responsive dermatoses for a maximum duration of 5 days on the face, axillae, scrotum and scalp and a maximum of 3 weeks on the body.
This drug may have the following side effects:
- hives,
- difficulty breathing,
- swelling of your face, lips, tongue, or throat,
- nausea,
- diarrhea,
- tiredness,
- dry mouth,
- worsening of your skin condition,
- redness, warmth, swelling, oozing, or severe irritation of any treated skin,
- increased thirst,
- increased urination,
- fruity breath odor,
- weight gain (especially in your face or your upper back and torso),
- slow wound healing,
- thinning or discolored skin,
- increased body hair,
- muscle weakness,
- headaches,
- pain behind the eyes,
- mood changes,
- menstrual changes, and
- sexual changes
