Osmolex ER (amantadine)

Osmolex ER (amantadine extended-release tablets) is indicated for the treatment of drug-induced extrapyramidal reactions in adult patients with Parkinson's disease.
This drug may have the following side effects:
- hives,
- difficulty breathing,
- swelling of your face, lips, tongue, or throat,
- lightheadedness,
- shortness of breath,
- confusion,
- seizure,
- sweating,
- agitation,
- painful or difficult urination,
- swelling in your hands or feet,
- aggression,
- very stiff (rigid) muscles,
- high fever,
- fast or uneven heartbeats,
- depression,
- tremor,
- hallucinations,
- extreme drowsiness,
- falling asleep suddenly even after feeling alert,
- behavior changes,
- throughs of self-harm,
- increased sexual urges, and
- unusual urges to gamble, or other intense urges
The following drugs are related to Osmolex ER, either as a replacement or used together:
- Kynmobi (apomorphine hydrochloride sublingual film)
- Fluorodopa FDOPA (f18 injection)
- Nourianz (istradefylline tablets)
