Amabelz (estradiol and norethindrone acetate tablets), for oral use is an estrogen and progestin combination indicated in a woman with a uterus for treatment of moderate to severe vasomotor symptoms due to menopause, prevention of postmenopausal osteoporosis, and treatment of moderate to severe symptoms of vulvar and vaginal atrophy due to menopause. Amabelz is available in generic form.

The drug is often used to treat Osteoporosis .

This drug may have the following side effects:
  • hives,
  • difficulty breathing,
  • swelling of your face, lips, tongue, or throat,
  • nausea,
  • vomiting,
  • shortness of breath,
  • confusion,
  • pain spreading to your jaw or shoulder,
  • constipation,
  • sweating,
  • chest pain or pressure,
  • muscle weakness,
  • sudden numbness or weakness (especially on one side of the body),
  • slurred speech,
  • problems with vision or balance,
  • coughing up blood,
  • increased thirst or urination,
  • memory problems,
  • sudden vision loss,
  • unusual vaginal bleeding,
  • sudden severe headache,
  • stabbing chest pain,
  • yellowing of the skin or eyes,
  • pain or warmth in one or both legs,
  • unusual behavior,
  • lump in your breast,
  • pelvic pain,
  • swelling or tenderness in your stomach,
  • bone pain, and
  • lack of energy
