Alymsys (bevacizumab-maly injection)
type of Anticholinergic Agents, Antineoplastics, VEGF Inhibitor
Alymsys (bevacizumab-maly) is a vascular endothelial growth factor inhibitor indicated for the treatment of metastatic colorectal cancer, in combination with intravenous fluorouracil-based chemotherapy for first- or second-line treatment; and metastatic colorectal cancer, in combination with fluoropyrimidine-irinotecan- or fluoropyrimidine-oxaliplatin-based chemotherapy for second-line treatment in patients who have progressed on a first-line bevacizumab product-containing regimen.
Alymsys is biosimilar to Avastin (bevacizumab).
This drug may have the following side effects:
- shortness of breath,
- chest pain,
- headache,
- sweating,
- lightheadedness,
- dizziness,
- mouth sores,
- cough,
- fever,
- chills,
- swelling,
- blurred vision, and
- pounding in your neck or ears
- hives,
- difficulty breathing,
- swelling of your face, lips, tongue, or throat,
- wheezing,
- easy bruising,
- unusual bleeding (nose, mouth, vagina, rectum),
- any bleeding that will not stop,
- severe stomach pain,
- bloody or tarry stools,
- coughing up blood,
- vomit that looks like coffee grounds,
- sudden numbness or weakness (especially on one side of the body),
- sudden severe headache,
- problems with vision or balance,
- extreme weakness or tiredness,
- confusion,
- vision problems,
- fainting,
- seizures,
- stomach pain or swelling,
- urine leakage,
- feel like your choking and gagging when you eat or drink,
- pain, swelling, warmth, or redness in one or both legs,
- pain spreading to your jaw or shoulder,
- missed menstrual periods,
- puffy eyes,
- swelling in your ankles or feet,
- urine that looks foamy,
- rapid weight gain,
- skin sores,
- sudden redness of the skin,
- warmth, swelling, or oozing, or any skin wound or surgical incision that will not heal,
