Altavera (levonorgestrel and ethinyl estradiol tablets)

Altavera (levonorgestrel and ethinyl estradiol kit) is a combination oral contraceptive (COC) indicated for use by females of reproductive potential to prevent pregnancy.
This drug may have the following side effects:
- nausea,
- vomiting,
- bloating,
- changes in weight or appetite,
- changes in menstrual flow,
- breast tenderness/pain/enlargement,
- nipple secretion,
- abdominal pain and cramps,
- temporary infertility after discontinuation of treatments,
- changes in vaginal secretions,
- cholestatic jaundice,
- rash (allergic),
- vaginal infection (including vaginal yeast infection),
- problems with contact lenses,
- blood clots,
- decrease in serum folate levels,
- aggravation of varicose veins, and
