Campath (alemtuzumab)
type of Antineoplastics Monoclonal Antibody
Campath (alemtuzumab) is an antibody made from animal DNA used to treat chronic lymphocytic leukemia. Campath is usually given after other medications have been tried without successful treatment.
This drug may have the following side effects:
- hives,
- difficulty breathing,
- swelling of your face, lips, tongue, or throat,
- nausea,
- loss of appetite,
- rash,
- fever,
- easy bruising,
- unusual bleeding,
- lightheadedness,
- shortness of breath,
- cold hands and feet,
- confusion,
- chills,
- chest pain,
- weight gain,
- wheezing,
- cough,
- sore throat,
- dark colored urine,
- mouth sores,
- swelling in your lower legs,
- skin sores,
- pale or yellowed skin,
- unusual weakness,
- purple or red spots under your skin,
- problems with speech, thought, vision or muscle movement,
- sudden pain in your stomach or back, and
- urine that looks pink, brown or foamy
