Aldurazyme (laronidase)

Aldurazyme (laronidase) is an enzyme used to treat some of the symptoms of a genetic condition called Hurler syndrome (also called mucopolysaccharidosis). Aldurazyme may improve breathing and walking ability in people with this condition. Aldurazyme is not a cure for Hurler syndrome.

This drug may have the following side effects:
  • hives,
  • difficulty breathing,
  • swelling of your face, lips, tongue, or throat,
  • shortness of breath,
  • rapid breathing,
  • wheezing,
  • sweating,
  • chest tightness,
  • fast or slow heartbeats,
  • pale skin, and
  • lightheadedness (even when you lie down),
  • cold or clammy skin,
  • blue lips or fingernails
