Buminate 5% (albumin (human) 5% solution)

Buminate 5% Albumin (Human) Solution is a plasma substitute used to treat decreased blood volume (hypovolemia), low levels of albumin in the blood (hypoalbuminemia), and to treat burns when used in conjunction with appropriate crystalloid therapy. Buminate 5% is available in generic form.

This drug may have the following side effects:
  • hives,
  • difficulty breathing,
  • swelling of your face, lips, tongue, or throat,
  • pale skin,
  • lightheadedness,
  • confusion,
  • severe shortness of breath,
  • blurred vision,
  • wheezing,
  • sweating,
  • cough,
  • chest pain, and
  • anxiety,
  • weak or shallow breathing,
  • gasping for breath,
  • cough with foamy mucus,
  • fast or uneven heart rate
  • throbbing headache,
  • buzzing in your ears,

  • Albuked (albumin - human injection)
  • Curosurf (poractant alfa)
