Akineton (biperiden)

Akineton (biperiden hydrochloride) Tablet is an anticholinergic antiparkinson agent used to treat the stiffness, tremors, spasms, and poor muscle control of Parkinson's disease. Akineton is also used to treat and prevent these same muscular conditions when they are caused by drugs such as chlorpromazine, fluphenazine, perphenazine, and others.

This drug may have the following side effects:

• lightheadedness,
• shortness of breath,
• confusion,
• chills,
• dizziness,
• dry mouth,
• chest pain or discomfort,
• nervousness,
• restlessness,
• unusual tiredness,
• painful urination,
• mood changes,
• irregular heartbeats,
• anxiety,
• trouble sleeping,
• irritability,
• shaking,
• hyperventilation,
• cold sweats,
• decrease in urine and frequency,
• false or unusual sense of wellbeing,
• involuntary movements,
• slow or irregular heartbeat, and
• unusual tiredness
