Eylea HD (aflibercept injection)
type of Macular Degeneration Agents, Ophthalmics, VEGF Inhibitors
Eylea HD (aflibercept) is a vascular endothelial growth factor (VEGF) inhibitor indicated for the treatment of patients with neovascular (wet) age-related macular degeneration (nAMD), diabetic macular edema (DME), and diabetic retinopathy (DR).
This drug may have the following side effects:
- blurred vision,
- cataracts,
- increased intraocular pressure,
- bleeding in the eye,
- eye discomfort, pain, or irritation,
- eye “floaters,”
- vitreous detachment,
- corneal epithelium defect.
