Eylea (aflibercept)
type of Macular Degeneration Agents, Ophthalmics, VEGF Inhibitors
Eylea (aflibercept) is a recombinate protein indicated for the treatment of patients with Neovascular (Wet) Age-Related Macular Degeneration (AMD). AMD is a common cause of blindness.
This drug may have the following side effects:
- chest pain,
- confusion, and
- sudden numbness or weakness (especially on one side of the body),
- seeing halos around lights,
- swelling around your eyes,
- problems with speech or balance
- sudden vision problems,
- eye pain or redness,
- increased sensitivity of your eyes to light,
- seeing flashes of light or "floaters" in your vision,
- sudden severe headaches,
