Adhansia XR (methylphenidate hydrochloride) is a central nervous system (CNS) stimulant indicated for the treatment of Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD) in patients 6 years and older. Adhansia XR is available in generic form.

This drug may have the following side effects:
  • hives,
  • difficulty breathing,
  • swelling of your face, lips, tongue, or throat,
  • lightheadedness,
  • chest pain,
  • numbness,
  • hostility,
  • aggression,
  • trouble breathing,
  • hallucinations,
  • paranoia,
  • pain,
  • unexplained wounds,
  • cold feeling,
  • new behavior problems,
  • skin color changes (pale, red, or blue appearance) in your fingers or toes, and
  • penis erection that is painful or last 4 hours or longer
