Adagen (pegademase bovine) Injection is an enzyme called adenosine deaminase (ADA) used for enzyme replacement therapy for the treatment of severe combined immunodeficiency disease (SCID) associated with a deficiency of adenosine deaminase.

This drug may have the following side effects:

• hives,
• difficulty breathing,
• swelling of your face, lips, tongue, or throat,
• fever,
• easy bruising,
• chills,
• dizziness,
• sore throat,
• dark colored urine,
• mouth sores,
• flu symptoms, and
• unusual bleeding (nose, mouth, vagina, or rectum),
• purple or red pinpoint spots under your skin,
• pale or yellowed skin,
• confusion or weakness,
• skin sores or swelling
