Actoplus MET, Actoplus MET XR (pioglitazone hcl and metformin hcl)

Actoplus MET (pioglitazone hydrochloride and metformin hydrochloride) is a combination of 2 oral diabetes medicines for people with type 2 diabetes who do not use daily insulin injections. Actoplus MET is not for treating type 1 diabetes. Actoplus MET is available in generic form.
The drug is often used to treat Diabetes .
This drug may have the following side effects:
- hives,
- difficulty breathing,
- swelling of your face, lips, tongue, or throat,
- nausea,
- loss of appetite,
- dark urine,
- vomiting,
- pale skin,
- lightheadedness,
- shortness of breath,
- tiredness,
- stomach pain,
- yellowing of the skin or eyes (jaundice),
- dizziness,
- swelling,
- weakness,
- unusual tiredness,
- painful or difficult urination,
- shortness of breath, and
- rapid weight gain,
- feeling cold,
- cold hands and feet
- changes in your vision,
- unusual muscle pain,
- pink or red urine,
- slow or irregular heart rate,
- new or worsening urge to urinate,
