Acova (argatroban)

Acova (argatroban) is a direct thrombin inhibitor indicated as an anticoagulant for prophylaxis or treatment of thrombosis in patients with heparin-induced thrombocytopenia.

This drug may have the following side effects:
  • nausea,
  • vomiting,
  • diarrhea,
  • fever,
  • shortness of breath,
  • low blood pressure (hypotension),
  • coughing,
  • pain,
  • sepsis,
  • cardiac arrest,
  • fast heart rate,
  • urinary tract infection (UTI),
  • infection,
  • pneumonia,
  • atrial fibrillation (AFib),
  • abnormal kidney function,
  • abdominal pain, and
  • cerebrovascular disorder.
