Achromycin V (tetracycline)

Achromycin V (tetracycline HCl) Capsules are antibiotics indicated to treat a wide variety of bacterial infections. In severe acne, adjunctive therapy with Achromycin V may be useful. Achromycin V is available in generic form.

This drug may have the following side effects:

• nausea,
• headache,
• dizziness,
• vomiting,
• diarrhea,
• mouth sores,
• sore throat,
• loss of appetite,
• upset stomach,
• rash,
• hives, and
• difficulty swallowing,
• allergic reactions. 
• swollen or black hairy tongue,
• inflammation of the small intestine and colon,
• rectal discomfort,
• permanent discoloration of teeth (if taken during tooth development),
  
• discoloration of the nails,
• sun sensitivity,
