Tylenol-Codeine (acetaminophen and codeine)

Tylenol with Codeine (acetaminophen and codeine phosphate) is a combination of a narcotic pain reliever and a non-salicylate analgesic (pain reliever) and antipyretic (fever reducer) used to relieve moderate to severe pain. Tylenol with Codeine is available in generic form.

This drug may have the following side effects:

• yellowing of the skin or eyes (jaundice)
• nausea
• itching
• dark urine
• loss of appetite
• clay-colored stools
• confusion
• upper stomach pain
• feeling lightheaded
• shallow breathing
• noisy breathing
• sighing
• serious drowsiness
