Accolate (zafirlukast)
type of Leukotriene Receptor Antagonists
Accolate (zafirlukast) is a leukotriene inhibitor used to treat and prevent asthma attacks in adults and children as young as 5 years old. Do not give Accolate to a child without a doctor's advice. Accolate is available in generic form.
The drug is often used to treat Asthma .
This drug may have the following side effects:
- hives,
- difficulty breathing,
- swelling of your face, lips, tongue, or throat,
- nausea,
- upper stomach pain,
- loss of appetite,
- dark urine,
- skin rash,
- clay-colored stools,
- yellowing of the skin or eyes (jaundice),
- severe itching,
- muscle weakness,
- trouble breathing
- pain,
- unusual thoughts or behavior,
- new or worsening cough,
- fever, and
- tired feeling,
- bruising,
- severe tingling,
- blisters,
- sinus congestion,
- Depressed mood,
- severe sinus pain,
- numbness or tingly feeling in your arms or legs,
- worsening or no improvement in your asthma,
