ACAM2000 (smallpox vaccine, live) is an immunization used against smallpox disease for persons determined to be at high risk for smallpox infection.
This drug may have the following side effects:
- headache
- nausea
- diarrhea
- fever
- vomiting
- fatigue
- constipation
- shortness of breath
- rash
- muscle pain
- body aches
- injection site reactions (itching, redness, pain, swelling)
- enlarged lymph nodes
- feeling of being unwell (malaise)
- arm soreness
- feeling hot, and
The following drugs are related to ACAM2000, either as a replacement or used together:
- Tembexa (brincidofovir tablets)
- Jynneos (smallpox and monkeypox live, nonreplicating injection)
- Krintafel (tafenoquine tablets)
- TPOXX (tecovirimat capsules)
